About Sparta Gourmet
On the 9th km of the Sparti to Gytheio road, south of Sparta in Laconia, the Valiotis family built a modern mill and bottling plant between 2015 and 2018. They produce extra virgin olive oil mainly from Koroneiki olives, with some Athinolia, and their Koroneiki monovarietal won Silver at the NYIOOC.
The range includes conventional and organic olive oil, Kalamata olives, marinated and stuffed olives and olive paste. A facility visit includes a guided tasting of three olive oils plus olives and olive paste. It is a convenient stop when driving from Sparta towards Gytheio and the Mani.
